Specialist postgraduate studies

The specialist postgraduate study program can be enrolled by applicants who have completed a Master's degree in Music (mag. art.) or applicants who have completed an undergraduate program according to previous regulations and have earned the professional title of academic musician.

The applicant is required to pass an admission exam, which consists of a practical part (a recital) and a presentation of the topic of the specialist research project.

Applicants who obtained their degree abroad must first go through the procedure for the recognition of their foreign higher education qualification. Foreign nationals are enrolled in the study program under the same conditions as Croatian citizens.

Enrollment in the specialist study program is conducted based on a public competition. The competition is usually announced twice per academic year (June and December) and is published on the Academy's website.

The Academy Council makes the final decision on whether the specialist study program will be conducted based on the public competition if it determines that there is a sufficient number of applicants who meet the requirements for enrollment.

The applicant is required to submit an application for the public competition for enrollment in the specialist study program within the deadline specified in the competition.

Applicants are required to register with the Student affairs office of the Academy of Music to verify their specific knowledg , skills, and abilities using the designated form Application for admission exam for enrollment in the postgraduate specialist study program for performers.

Along with the application, the applicant is required to submit:

Before the admission exam, the applicant must have a consultation with the head of the specialist postgraduate study program and the proposed mentor. The applicant will be notified in writing of the result of their application to the specialist study program. If the applicant's enrollment application is not accepted, they may file an appeal with the Postgraduate Studies Committee within 7 days of receiving the notification or of the notice being posted on the bulletin board. An applicant who is granted the right to enroll in the specialist postgraduate study program will sign a Study Agreement.
