Introduce yourself through your resume
A resume is an overview of your experience, practice, competencies, and abilities. Its goal is to spark the interest of a potential employer to meet you and invite you for an interview and/or audition.
What should a resume be like?
- clear and concise
- no longer than 3 pages
- free from grammatical errors, typos, and unclear formulations
- in the file name of the resume, include your name – avoid using diacritical marks (use c, z, s instead of č, ž, š – especially when addressing a foreign employer)
- list education and work experience from the most recent to the oldest
- use a simple font (Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri) in size 12
- never include inaccurate or incomplete information
- include professor recommendations as an appendix to your resume
