Building of the Academy of Music
WHAT DOES THE BUILDING OF THE ACADEMY OF MUSIC OFFER?
The building of the Academy of Music is located in the city center of Zagreb. It was built in 2015. Spanning 12,000 m2, it offers, among other things, the following facilities:
A large concerthall – 300 seats
The concert hall in the heart of Zagreb is a new place for musical events in the city, attracting a wide audience and music enthusiasts with its diverse programs and offerings.
The hall is equipped with state-of-the-art audio and video equipment, a cinema screen, and a projector. It features adjustable geometry and acoustics, with an orchestra pit, making it suitable for smaller opera productions. The venue is suited for hosting a wide range of events, seminars, and conferences.
Three smaller concert halls - 100 seats (Huml Hall, Stančić Hall and Hall 319)
The three smaller halls are intended for student performances, solo recitals, and chamber music concerts.
42 classrooms for individual lessons and chamber music
9 classrooms for group lessons
35 practice rooms for students
The Recording Studio and Multimedia Hall – thanks to their state-of-the-art equipment, offer facilities for both audio and video recording. The fully equipped recording studio enables the production of professional audio releases.
The Library and Reading Room – the collection of the Academy of Music Library consists of manuscripts and printed books on music, manuscripts and printed music scores, a collection of performance materials for ensembles, audio and video recordings, journals, and student thesis works – a total of 62,747 library items. Books, printed music, and sound recordings are acquired according to the needs of individual departments. The Academy of Music Library in Zagreb holds the largest collection of music-related items in the Republic of Croatia.
Guest Professor Apartments – On the 7th floor of the Academy of Music building, there are two fully equipped apartments for guest professors.
Hostels for Visiting Student Groups and Hotels for Visiting Professors – The Academy of Music is located in the heart of the city, with hostels nearby for student accommodation and several hotels available for visiting professors.
