ERASMUS+ BLENDED INTENSIVE PROGRAMS (BIP)

The University of Zagreb opens the calls for tenders for Erasmus+ combined intensive programs several times a year, and funds are allocated according to the order in which applications are received on a first-come, first-served basis. In case of earlier expiration of the planned financial resources, the University reserves the right to close the call earlier, with the obligation of prior announcement on the website at least 2 working days before the earlier closing of the call.

Important notes:

  • Only constituents can submit an application for the combined intensive program.
  • The constituent is obliged to publicly announce the invitation to participate in the combined intensive program on its website, on the basis of which it will transparently select the participants. After selection, the application documentation for the combined intensive program is submitted by the Office for International Cooperation of the Academy of Music to the central office for international cooperation of the University of Zagreb.
  • The University of Zagreb can guarantee that the constituent's application will be processed, the results published and all other necessary actions performed only if the constituent submits a valid and complete application at least 3 months before the start of the combined intensive program. Late applications will not be considered.

How to start planning a combined intensive program (BIP)?

BIP can be a completely new short, intensive program or an improved version of an already existing program, course or summer school using a blended format (combination of physical and virtual part)!

The division of responsibilities within the BIP partnership is carried out according to the agreement between the partner institutions.

Organization:

  • coordinating institution: requests funds for BIP within the project KA131 application, can be a receiving institution, but can also be without a receiving/sending role
  • sending institution: any higher education institution with an ECHE charter (within the BIP partnership or outside it)
  • receiving institution: coordinating institution or other higher education institution from the BIP partnership; the physical part of BIP takes place in the premises of the receiving institution or in another location in the receiving country.

Additionally:

  • In the framework of intensive combined programs (BIPs), it is possible to realize only short-term student mobility for the purpose of studies (SMS).
  • Achieving the minimum mobility of the participants is necessary. In the case of justified impediment of a certain participant - force majeure, it is possible to realize mobility as virtual.
