ERASMUS+ INCOMING STUDENTS
The University of Zagreb, as the umbrella institution of the Academy of Music, manages the application for the incoming students. Before starting the process of nomination and application, please check if your home institution has an active Erasmus+ or bilateral agreement with the Academy of Music University of Zagreb here (link).

Before starting the process of nomination and application, please check if your home institution has an active Erasmus+ or bilateral agreement with the Academy of Music University of Zagreb here (link).
Vaša matična institucija nominira studente putem Google obrasca. Molimo ne šaljite nominacije putem e-pošte. Studenti ne smiju sami sebe nominirati. Za specifična pitanja (koja nisu objašnjena na web stranici) vezana uz nominaciju ili proces prijave obratite se na incoming@unizg.hr.
Partnerske instutucije ljubazno molimo da poštuju ROKOVE NOMINACIJE. Obrazac za nominaciju Sveučilišta u Zagrebu je otvoren:
– za mobilnosti u zimskom semestru / cijeloj akademskoj godini => od 1. ožujka do 1. svibnja
– za mobilnosti u ljetnom semestru => od 1. rujna do 1. studenog
After the student is nominated by the home institution, the student will receive an e-mail from UNIZG (University of Zagreb) with the instructions on how to apply for the mobility:
- Nominated students need to submit their application in the online application portal of the University of Zagreb (MoveON). Link to the online application portal will be sent directly to the student via email after the nomination has been confirmed by the UNIZG Central International Relations Office. The application portal is intended only for students who wish to apply for a study mobility exchange. Traineeships are arranged directly with the academy.
- All applicants are kindly requested to respect the APPLICATION DEADLINES. The online application is open:

– za mobilnosti u ljetnom semestru => od 1. rujna do 15. studenog
Required documents which you need to upload in your application form are:
- Curriculum Vitae (Croatian or English)
- Learning Agreement (potpisan od strane studenta i njegove matične ustanove, po mogućnosti provjeren s prihvatnom akademijom). Obvezno prije predaje prijave: student može unijeti isključivo predmete koji su dostupni na prihvatnoj ustanovi.
Institucija primateljica u OLA uvijek je akademija na koju se prijavljujete, A NE SVEUČILIŠTE U ZAGREBU! U OLA – za UNIZG, “Kontakt osoba” na ustanovi primateljici je Ured za međunarodnu suradnju (suradnja@muza.unizg.hr), a “Odgovorna osoba na ustanovi primateljici” je ECTS koordinator (osoba odgovorna za potpisivanje OLA – ects@muza.unizg.hr).

Svi dokumenti moraju biti na engleskom jeziku ili ovjereni prijevodi (Središnji ured za međunarodnu suradnju Sveučilišta u Zagrebu ne prihvaća dokumente na drugim jezicima). Predlošci dokumenata za prijavu mogu se pronaći here (studenti koji nisu Erasmus+ također mogu koristiti predloške svojih sveučilišta).

– Studenti na razmjeni moraju dokazati poznavanje engleskog (ili hrvatskog) jezika minimalne razine B2 prema Europskom referentnom okviru (CEFR).

Students who speak English or Croatian as mother tongue or study completely in English in their home country (not only isolated courses) do not have to submit a language test.

DOCUMENTS NEEDED for the enrolment
- OIB (personal identification number)
- 2 photos (approx. passport size)
- passport or identity card
During your enrolment meeting, you will:
- fill in the enrolment forms, form for the student card, etc.
- fill in forms to open a student computer account (username and password)
- get the key card for the entrance and practicing rooms (from Exchange Coordinator)
- open an account for the booking of practicing rooms (rezervaonica)
- fill in a requisition form for a student (instrument) locker – if you need one
- get a stamp from Student Affairs Office or Referada for the public transportation pass form
- go on a tour of the building of the Academy of Music.
Students are advised to make the changes to the learning agreement in the first two to three (2-3) weeks after the enrolment.

ARRIVAL IN ZAGREB

The Zagreb airport is very small, just one international arrivals gate from which the Croatia Airlines bus can take you to the main bus station in the city. Croatian students provide pick up from the bus station (NOT the airport), from 9am to 10pm.

VISA AND TEMPORARY STAY PERMIT
EU/EEA citizens can enter Croatia with just a valid ID card (or passport) and then need to register at the Central police station if staying for more than 3 months to regulate the residence permit.
Citizens of the USA, Australia, Canada, etc. here) can enter Croatia with a valid passport and then have to apply for the residence permit in Zagreb. Check with the Croatian embassy in your country of residence what documentation you will need for your application in Zagreb and make sure you have it with you when coming to Zagreb.
NON-EU/EEA citizens coming from a country that has a visa regime with the Republic of Croatia need to apply for a visa via the Croatian embassy in their home country before departing for Croatia. The list of countries whose nationals need a visa to enter Croatia can be found at the pages of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Visas CANNOT be applied for or extended in Croatia! Please contact the Croatian embassy in your country of residence for more information. You will receive an acceptance letter that covers some of the documentation needed for your visa application as soon as your complete application has been approved by the faculty/academy of the University of Zagreb that will host you.

HEALTH INSURANCE (regular information)
All exchange students must have health insurance during their stay in Croatia.
- All EU/EAA students need to bring their European health insurance card to Croatia as it will be valid.
- All non-EU/EAA exchange students are required to take out a travel medical insurance that is valid during the entire period spent in Croatia. The ensured cover must be at least 30.000 EUR and include repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical care and/or emergency treatment in a hospital. Student will need to submit a proof of medical insurance upon arrival to Zagreb, Croatia when applying for the first temporary permit.
- Studenti iz Bosne i Hercegovine, Crne Gore i Srbije koji su zdravstveno osigurani kod svog nositelja zdravstvenog osiguranja u matičnoj državi mogu izvaditi potvrdu o zdravstvenom osiguranju iz matične države i zamijeniti je za policu osiguranja jednog od davatelja hrvatskog nacionalnog zdravstvenog osiguranja, tzv. “bolesnički list”. Po dolasku u Zagreb studenti će se javiti Hrvatskom zavodu za zdravstveno osiguranje (HZZO) i dostaviti dokaz o zdravstvenom osiguranju matične osiguravajuće kuće na adresu: Branimirova 37, Odjel za međunarodnu suradnju. HZZO će izdati dokument koji studentima na razmjeni omogućuje korištenje zdravstvenih usluga unutar hrvatskog zdravstvenog sustava. Dokument se izdaje bez dodatnih troškova.
INTERNET ACCESS IN THE STUDENT HALLS OF RESIDENCE
After you get your username and password from the faculty/academy you will enrol, download the necessary installation software from http://installer.eduroam.hrget a cable (no wireless in the dorm), and it should work.
ESN BUDDY PROGRAMMEErasmus Student Network – ESN Zagreb je studentska organizacija koja pomaže međunarodnim studentima tijekom njihovog boravka u Zagrebu. Organiziraju razne vrste aktivnosti i programa, a prvi za koji bi međunarodni studenti trebali znati je The Buddy Programme.
The Buddy Programme aims to connect international students with one of the local students and volunteers who will help them get around Zagreb, be their tour guide or best friend during their stay. There is also a Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/esnzagreb/

Home university nominates students via Google form. Please do not send nominations via email. Students are not allowed to nominate themselves. For specific questions (not explained on the web site) about the nomination or application process, please contact incoming@unizg.hr.

- Students coming from Bosnia and Hercegovina, Montenegro and Serbia that have health insurance with their national health insurance provider in the home country may take out a proof of health insurance from the home country and exchange it for insurance policy from the Croatian national health insurance provider, so-called “bolesnički list”. Upon arrival to Zagreb students will report to the Croatian Health Insurance Fund (Hrvatski zavod za zdravstveno osiguranje – HZZO) and submit a proof of health insurance from the home country insurance provider at the address: Branimirova 37, Odjel za međunarodnu suradnju / Department for international cooperation. The HZZO will issue a document that enables exchange students to use the health services within the Croatian health system.
