The Wind Orchestra of the Academy of Music was founded in 2005 by Šime Vulelija, who led it until 2021 when Davorin Brozić took over that position. The orchestra's repertoire features a variety of significant works by both Croatian and international composers specifically composed for wind orchestra. It also includes diverse transcriptions and arrangements of music originally composed for other types of performing ensembles. The conductor of the wind orchestra for the 2024/2025 academic year is Prof. Ivan Josip Skender.
