In the absence of an Early Music Department at the Academy of Music, Laura Vadjon has gathered interested students from various departments for chamber music classes since 2002. In 2015, she founded the Academy's Baroque Ensemble. Students learn the principles of historically informed performance, focusing primarily on Baroque repertoire. Through numerous performances, the ensemble has demonstrated impressive interpretation skills, stylistic understanding, and a growing interest among young musicians. They have also performed with the Academy's Tamburitza Ensemble. Notably, their performances at the Varaždin Baroque Evenings in 2020 and 2021 received special recognition.
